JINJJA Korea Festival is not simply a festival you come to watch. It is a festival you experience.

Our ambition is to create an authentic encounter with Korea and its culture by inviting audiences not only to discover, but to try, practise, create, taste, exchange and participate. A demonstration can become a hands-on introduction, a talk can turn into a conversation, and an encounter can grow into a workshop.

JINJJA is built with the people who take part in it. Artists, creators, teachers, chefs, dancers, entrepreneurs, speakers and enthusiasts are invited to contribute their ideas and shape their participation with us. This collaborative approach gives rise to original experiences and formats, sometimes created especially for JINJJA.

A PLACE FOR IDEAS TO GROW

JINJJA celebrates established projects, but also, and perhaps especially, those that are just beginning.

We want to provide a platform for emerging artists, young creators, entrepreneurs, new talents and innovative projects: a place to test an idea, meet an audience, build connections and gain visibility. We remain flexible because a new project does not have the same resources or needs as an established organisation.

And when someone we believe in cannot be physically present, we look for other ways to showcase their work and tell their story. JINJJA is also a window onto the people, projects and ideas we discover and want others to discover too.

CREATED TOGETHER

At JINJJA, guests don’t just participate. They create.

Rather than simply inviting someone to deliver a predefined programme, we ask what they would like to share and how we can bring that idea to life together. If an idea is unexpected or falls outside the usual format, we look for a way to make it possible.

That is why workshops, hands-on activities and small-group experiences are not side activities at JINJJA. They are at the heart of the festival, creating space for genuine interaction, curiosity and transmission.

A DEEPLY HUMAN FESTIVAL

At the heart of JINJJA is connection: between Korea and Switzerland, artists and audiences, professionals and beginners, tradition and contemporary creation, established projects and those just starting out.

We want to reduce the distance between those who share and those who discover, leaving room for conversation, spontaneity and genuine human encounters.
