Switzerland has hosted the last concert of « GLOW« , the 2025 European tour of the K-POP group TRENDZ, and it was incredible!
Geneva had been waiting two years for this!
After Luminous in 2023, K-pop fans were more than thrilled to finally see a group back on stage. And when it comes to seven artists as talented as TRENDZ, their excitement reached new heights. Now it’s time to get to know them a little better — and to find out what they thought of Switzerland and their encounters with fans!
Havit: Hello! I’m Havit, the oldest member of TRENDZ with unexpected charm and a husky, emotional voice!
Leon: Hi! I’m Leon, the main dancer of TRENDZ. I can’t wait to see our Friendz in Switzerland!
Yoonwoo: I’m Yoonwoo, in charge of vocals and rap in TRENDZ. I have such great memories from a childhood trip to Switzerland, so I’m really excited that we get to perform there now!

Your energy on stage is incredible! What motivates you the most when you’re performing on tour, especially abroad?
Havit: Just the fact that we get to meet Friendz from far away who have supported us is a huge motivation. Being able to perform in a new environment as TRENDZ is also really meaningful.
Leon: Friendz’s energy is truly our energy source and the biggest motivation for us!
Yoonwoo: I think it’s the cheers and support from Friendz. We’d love it if you could enjoy the performances with us.
Hankook: I think fans’ cheers are the biggest motivation, without a doubt.
ra.L: We perform in many countries, and without fail, the passionate support we receive gives us so much strength and energy. When we lock eyes with each other on stage while hearing Friendz’s cheers, we can feel that we’re all happy.
Eunil: The irreplaceable energy of international fans is definitely the biggest motivation during the tour. Also, experiencing different cultures and sceneries in each country gives us a lot of strength.
Yechan: For me, just the idea of performing excites me and gets my adrenaline pumping. And when I hear Friendz cheering and screaming, that adrenaline multiplies, making me even more passionate on stage.
TRENDZ stands for “trend” (and Z for Gen Z) — what musical or cultural trend do you hope to lead or represent as a group?
Hankook: I want to lead global trends through performance and choreography. I hope people all around the world will sing and dance along with us.
무대 위에서의 에너지가 대단해요! 해외투어 공연에서는 특히 어떤 것들이 여러분에게 가장 동기부여가 되나요 ?
하빛 멀리서 응원해주던 해외 프렌드지를 만날 수 있다는 것 자체가 큰 동기부여인 것 같아요. 새로운 환경에서 트렌드지만의 공연을 할 수 있다는 것도 정말 근 의미가 있구요.
리온 아무래도 프렌드지의 에너지가 저희의 에너지 원천이고, 동기부여 그 자체가 되는 것 같습니다!
윤우 아무래도 프렌드지의 함성소리와 응원소리인 것 같아요. 저희의 공연을 함께 즐겨주시면 정말 좋을 것 같습니다
한국 팬분들의 함성소리가 아무래도 가장 큰 동기부여가 아닐까요
라엘 다양한 나라에서 공연을 하는데 빠짐없이 열정 넘치는 응원을 보내주셔서 그 응원들이 저희한테는 큰힘이자 에너지원이 됩니다. 프렌드지의 응원을 받으며 무대 위에서 멤버들과 눈이 마주칠때면 모두 행복을 느끼고 있음을 알 수 있어요
은일 해외팬분들의 대체할 수 없는 에너지가 투어의 가장 큰 동기부여인 것 같습니다. 그리고 여러 국가들을 돌아다니며 경험하는 문화와 풍경 또한 큰 힘이 되는 것 같습니다
예찬 저는 아무래도 공연을 한다라는 그 자체부터 설레고 아드레날린이 막 뿜어져 나오는데 거기에 프렌드지의 응원소리와 함성소리까지 들으면 아드레날린이 몇배로 커져서 더 열정적으로 무대에 임하게 되는 것 같아요.
TRENDZ 는 “트렌드”와 “Z 세대”를 의미합니다. TRENDZ 만이 리드하고 싶거나 대표하고 싶은 음악적 또는 문화적 트렌드는 무엇인가요?
한국 아무대로 퍼포먼스와 안무로 트렌드를 이끌고 싶어요. 전세계 사람들이 저희의 노래와 춤을 보며 함께 따라해주셨으면 좋겠습니다.
Since your debut, what has been the most unforgettable moment for you — and why?
Havit: I don’t think I’ll ever forget the emotions and tears from our debut showcase. All the feelings I experienced during our long trainee days and the thrill of finally debuting… I still vividly remember the flood of emotions after that performance.
Yechan: For me, it’s our WHO promotions. When we debuted in January 2022, fans couldn’t come see us on music shows due to COVID-19. Starting with WHO, fans were finally able to attend in person and cheer us on. That moment was so touching—I’ll never forget it.
You’ve just released your 5th mini album ‘Chameleon’, in which you were more involved than ever before. Could each of you share what you personally wanted to express or show to your fans through this album?
ra.L: I made the fan song “Ddu Ddu” for Friendz, and also created the song “RPZ” to showcase the synergy between our rappers. I built everything from scratch—from the beat to the full production. I focused on composition, while our rappers worked together on the lyrics. I think our unique color really stands out in this album. This was my debut as a composer, and I hope to share even more music from here on.
Leon: I personally choreographed the title track. It’s based on hip-hop movements, with some addictive point moves that make it super catchy. I was happy to see more Friendz participating in the challenge this time. I hope you continue to enjoy this album for a long time!
What advice would you give to young people who dream of following a similar path — even if they live far from Korea and the music industry?
Yoonwoo: No matter what it is, if you have the will and put in the effort, you can get closer to your dream. Don’t give up—do your best! I believe it’s important to live without regrets.
When you’re feeling tired or unmotivated, what helps you recharge and find new energy?
Eunil: I take a step back and give myself time to rest. When I observe the situation from a distance, I often see what I’ve been missing. That’s when I reflect, make improvements, and enjoy hobbies or downtime to recharge.
Hankook: When I’m tired, I usually try to take a short nap to recharge. But if that’s not possible, I boost my energy with a sweet snack.
If you had the chance to collaborate with a Swiss or European artist, what kind of style or project would interest you?
Leon: I’d love to create a cool stage with a local Swiss or European band—K-pop idols and a live band together would be amazing.
Yechan: I’ve loved Ed Sheeran’s music since I was young, so if the opportunity came, I’d love to collaborate and make great music with him. He’s also a big football fan, and since I love football too, I’d even like to do a project related to that!
Do you have any role models — and what makes them inspire to you?
Eunil: My role model is Jungkook sunbaenim. I really admire his music and performances, so even during my trainee days, I practiced a lot using his songs. There’s so much to learn from how he commands the stage all by himself and fills it completely with his presence.
Yechan: My role model is J-Hope sunbaenim! He shows incredible versatility—vocals, dance, rap—he can do it all. I want to become a well-rounded member like him, so I often look up to his performances for inspiration.
데뷔 이후 가장 잊지 못할 순간은 무엇이었나요? 그 이유는 무엇인가요?
하빛 데뷔 쇼케이스 때 그 감정과 눈물을 평생 못 잊을 것 같아요. 오랜기간 연습하며 느꼈던 감정들과 기다려온 데뷔, 무대 후 긴장감 뒤에 밀려오는 다양한 감정들이 뒤섞였던게 아직도 생생하게 기억나요.
예찬 저는 WHO 활동인데요. 저희가 데뷔를 했을 당시(2022년 1월)에는 코로나로 인해 프렌드지가 저희 음악방송을 직접 보러오지 못했어요. WHO 활동 때부터 팬분들이 음악방송에 올 수 있게 되서 저희의 무대를 보고 응원법을 해주셨던게 정말 감동적이어서 아직도 그때를 잊지 못해요.
최근 다섯 번째 미니앨범 ‘Chameleon’를 발매하셨는데, 이전 앨범들과 견주었을때 이번 앨범에서 그 어느 때보다 더 많이 참여하셨다고 들었습니다. 이번 앨범에서 팬들에게 더욱 어필하고 싶었던 점이나 표현하고 싶은 메시지가 있다면 말씀해주세요.
라엘 프렌드지를 위해 팬송 ‘뚜뚜’를 만들고 랩퍼들의 시너지를 보여드리기 위해 ‘RPZ’라는 곡도 만들게 되었어요. 제가 아무 것도 없는 백지 상태에서 비트부터 모든 걸 다 만들었어요. 작곡적인 부분을 제가 담당하고 가사는 랩퍼들과 함께 머리를 맞대어 탄생한 곡들이라 저희의 색깔이 이번앨범에서 더욱 뚜렷하게 보였다고 할 수 있겠네요. 이번 앨범이 저의 첫 작곡가 데뷔였는데요. 이걸 시작으로 더 많은 음악을 보여드리고 싶습니다.
리온 제가 직접 타이틀곡 안무 제작을 했습니다. 힙합 베이스의 춤을 기반으로 중독적인 포인트 안무를 더해 매력적인 안무가 탄생했어요. 그래서인지 프렌드지도 전보다 챌린지에 많이 참여해주셔서 좋았습니다. 오래오래 이번 앨범을 즐겨주셨으면 하는 바람입니다.
TRENDZ 와 같은 길을 가고자 하는 어린 친구들에게, 특히 외국에서 살고 있거나 음악 산업과 거리가 있는 삶을 살고 있는 친구들에게, 어떤 조언을 해주고 싶으신가요?
윤우 무슨 일이든 하고자 하는 마음과 노력만 있다면 어떻게든 그 꿈과 가까워질 수 있다고 생각해요. 포기하지 말고 최선을 다해보라고 말해주고 싶어요. 인생에서 후회가 남으면 안된다고 생각하기 때문이에요!
피곤하거나 동기부여가 떨어질때, 어떤 방법으로 다시 힘을 얻고 에너지를 되찾기 위해 노력하나요 ?
은일 저는 일단 한 발짝 물러서서 쉬어가는 타이밍을 만들어요. 멀리서 상황을 지켜보다 보면 놓친 것들이 정확하게 보이고 그에 대해 고민하고 개선하고 동시에 취미나 여가를 즐기며 회복시간을 가져요.
한국 저는 피곤하면 잠깐의 수면으로 에너지를 충전하는 편인데, 상황이 여의치 않다면 달달한 간식을 먹고 힘을 내는 편이에요.
스위스 또는 유럽 아티스트와 콜라보 기회가 있다면, 어떤 스타일이나 어떤 프로젝트로 협업하고 싶으신가요 ?
리온 스위스, 유럽 현지 밴드와 케이팝 아이돌 트렌드지의 콜라보로 멋진 무대를 만들어 보고 싶어요.
예찬 어렸을 때부터 애드 시런의 음악을 즐겨 들어서 기회가 된다면 콜라보를 통해 좋은 음악을 만들어보고 싶구요. 또 이 분이 축구도 너무 좋아하시는데, 저도 축구를 좋아해서 함께 축구에 대한 프로젝트도 해보고 싶어요
Are there any new musical styles or genres you’d love to explore in the future?
Leon: I’d like to try the R&B genre, and I also want to explore heavier hip-hop sounds based on deep, intense beats.
ra.L: For our recent Chameleon comeback, we carefully chose the music and direction of TRENDZ after a lot of thought. Moving forward, I want to continue creating albums that showcase our diversity. In particular, I’d love to try hyperpop—a genre with intense sounds that would allow us to show powerful performance energy.
Is there something you’re excited to discover or try while in Switzerland — like chocolate, cheese… (or maybe skiing or mountain surfing – Especially for Leon and Eunil)?
Leon: I’ve heard that the scenery in Switzerland is absolutely stunning, and I’d love to see it with my own eyes.
Eunil: I really love skiing, and I heard Switzerland has incredibly long ski slopes. I definitely want to experience that. Skiing in such beautiful surroundings would make me so happy.
Is there a Korean dish you’d recommend to your Swiss and European fans?
Hankook: There’s a Korean dish called yukhoe (seasoned raw beef), and I enjoy it often. It’s truly delicious—please try it if you get the chance!
Yechan: I’d recommend jeyuk bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork) and grilled mackerel! It’s the best combo I’ve loved since I was little. Since it includes both meat and fish, I think people could enjoy it without hesitation—that’s why I’d like to recommend it!
앞으로 새롭게 도전해보고 싶은 음악 스타일이나 장르가 있으신가요?
리온 R&B 장르에 도전해보고 싶고, 굉장히 무거운 사운드 기반의 힙합 장르도 해보고 싶습니다.
라엘 이번 <Chameleon> 컴백은 저희가 긴 고민 끝에 음악을 결정하고, 트렌드지의 방향성을 결정한 컴백이었기에 앞으로도 이렇게 다채로운 모습을 보여드릴 수 있는 앨범을 만들어가고 싶습니다. 특히 도전해보고 싶은 것으로는 퍼포먼스를 아주 강렬하게 보여드릴 수 있는 강한 사운드 기반의 하이퍼 팝입니다.
스위스에서 꼭 경험해보고 싶거나 시도해보고 싶은 것이 있나요? 예를 들어 초콜릿, 치즈, 스키, 마운틴 서핑 등
리온 스위스의 풍경이 정말 아름답다고 들어서 그걸 제 눈에 직접 담고 싶습니다.
은일 저는 스키를 너무 좋아하는데, 스위스에 엄청나게 긴 스키 슬로프가 있다고 들어서 꼭 한 번 경험하고 싶습니다. 아름다운 경치 속에서 스키를 타면 정말 행복할 것 같아요.
스위스나 유럽 팬들에게 추천하고 싶은 한식이 있다면 무엇인가요?
한국 육회 라는 음식이 있는데 제가 자주 즐겨 먹거든요 정말로 맛있습니다. 꼭 한번 드셔 보세요.
예찬 저는 제육볶음과 고등어구이를 추천하고 싶습니다!! 제가 어렸을 때부터 먹던 최고의 조합이이에. 고기와 생선이기 때문에 아마 거부감 없이 드실 수 있을 것 같아서 추천하고 싶어요!
This is the first K-pop concert in Geneva in two years — Swiss fans have been waiting for this moment for a long time. How did you feel about the Swiss audience?
Havit: The passionate energy from the fans truly lifted our spirits. During the show, the members and I promised each other that we would definitely come back—and we’ll make sure to keep that promise.
Yoonwoo: Since we were nearing the end of the tour, not all of the members were at 100% physically. But the cheers and support from the audience were so powerful that it felt like all our fatigue disappeared. Our adrenaline was through the roof! It was truly a performance completed together with our fans.
Hankook: This was a performance where the passion of the Swiss fans reached us directly on stage. The stage was lower than at other venues, and the audience was much closer to us. I think that made the energy between us and the fans even more intense. Thanks to the overwhelming support during the final stop of our European tour, we were able to end the tour on a really high note.
Yechan: When we visited, the weather in Switzerland was incredibly hot. We heard that it’s not usually that warm throughout the year. Maybe that’s why the fans’ passion also felt extra fiery! Their energy gave us strength and we had even more fun performing because of it.
Did you have a chance to meet any Swiss fans offstage? Was there anything that surprised or touched you about them?
Eunil: Although we only met our fans at the venue, it was more than enough time to feel the passion of our fans in Switzerland. When I think of Switzerland, I usually imagine the Alps, snow, and cool weather—but the passion of the fans there felt like it could melt all the snow away.
ra.L: The day after our final concert, we had one day off, so we went around Geneva. While we were walking, someone passed by, looked at me, and said, “Aren’t you ra.L from TRENDZ? My friend really likes and supports you, so I know who you are!” They encouraged me and then went on their way, and it was such a surprising and touching moment. It made me feel like I need to work even harder.
You were able to try fondue: so, what did you think?
Leon: The day after the Geneva concert, we all went out to eat fondue together. I usually don’t really enjoy dishes with a lot of cheese, so I was a bit worried before trying it. But once I had it, it was so delicious! It tasted like a mix between a meal and dessert. We tried various types of fondue—some with white wine, others with vegetables—and even though they looked similar, each had a unique flavor. I thought that was really interesting!
Did you learn any words or expressions in French or Swiss German during your stay?
ra.L: There’s a phrase: “Vous êtes fatigués?” (“Are you tired?”). During the concert, we asked the audience that question, and they always responded that they weren’t tired. Hearing the crowd’s loud cheers fill the venue gave us a huge boost of energy in return.
이번이 2 년 만에 제네바에서 열리는 첫 케이팝 콘서트입니다. 스위스 팬들은 이 순간을 오랫동안 기다렸는데, 스위스 관객에 대한 소감이 어떠셨나요?
하빛 열정 가득한 모습이 저희를 즐겁게 했습니다. 공연하면서 멤버들과 다음에 꼭 다시 오겠다고 약속을 했는데, 그 약속을 꼭 지키러 올게요.
윤우 투어의 막바지이다 보니 멤버들의 컨디션이 100%는 아니었어요. 그런데 객석에서 보내주시는 응원과 함성이 너무 커서 멤버들이 컨디션이 좋지 않은 것도 다 잊을 정도로 아드레날린이 치솟았던 것 같아요. 말그대로 팬들과 함께 완성한 공연이었습니다.
한국 스위스 팬들의 열정이 무대 위로 그대로 전해졌던 공연이었어요. 다른 공연들에 비해 무대 높이가 낮은 편이었고, 관객들과의 거리도 가까웠는데 그래서 그런지 공연을 하는 저희와 팬들의 에너지가 정말 어마어마 했어요. 유럽투어를 마무리하는 공연에서 너무 큰 응원을 받아서 정말 기분 좋게 투어를 마칠 수 있었습니다.
예찬 저희가 갔을 때 스위스 날씨가 굉장히 뜨거웠어요. 일년 중에 그렇게 날씨가 더운 날이 많지 않다고 하더라구요. 그래서 그런지 팬분들의 열정도 뜨겁게 느껴졌고, 거기에 힘을 받아서 더 재미있게 공연을 할 수 있었습니다.
무대 밖에서 스위스 팬들을 만날 기회가 있었나요? 있었다면, 놀랍거나 감동받은 점은 무엇이었나요?
은일 공연장에서 만난게 전부이지만, 스위스 팬들의 열정을 느끼기에 충분한 시간이었습니다. 스위스하면 알프스, 눈, 시원한 날씨 이런 것들이 먼저 떠오르는데 스위스의 팬분들은 눈을 다 녹일 듯한 열정을 가지고 계시더라구요.
라엘 마지막 공연 다음 날 저희에게 하루의 시간이 있어서 제네바를 돌아다녔었는데 저를 보시고 지나가시던 분이 ‘TRENDZ 라엘 아닌가요? 제 친구가 너를 정말 많이 좋아하고 응원해서 알고 있어요! 하고 응원해주시고 가시는데 너무 놀랍고 신기했습니다. 더 열심히 해야겠다는 생각을 했어요.
퐁듀를 먹었어요: 어땠어요, 솔직히?
리온 제네바 공연 다음 날 다함께 퐁듀를 먹으러 갔는데요. 제가 치즈를 많이 사용한 음식을 그렇게 좋아하는 편이 아니라 먹기 전에 걱정을 많이 했어요. 그런데 막상 먹어보니 너무 맛있더라고요. 식사 같기도 하고 디저트 같기도 하고 맛있었어요. 화이트와인이 들어간 퐁듀, 채소가 들어간 퐁듀 등 다양한 맛의 퐁듀를 먹었는데 비슷해보이는데 다 다른 맛이 나는게 신기했어요!
체류 중, 프랑스어나 스위스독어로 된 단어나 표현을 배웠다면 무엇이었나요 ?
라엘 Vous êtes fatigués ? 라는 표현입니다. 저희가 무대에서 질문하면 관객 여러분들이 지치지 않았다고 대답을 해주시거든요. 공연장을 가득 채우는 함성소리에 에너지를 다시 충전하게 되는 순간이었습니다!
