After lighting up Geneva last year, TRENDZ is making history with the first-ever K-pop concert in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland!

DMK – KPS: Hi TRENDZ! Since we last met you in June in Geneva (see our article), you have released ‘CRIME’ which shows a much darker and more mature side of TRENDZ. What triggered this shift?

Hankook: “Crime” is actually a song that our members really wanted to try! At the time of our debut, we showed a lot of powerful, performance-centered concepts. But recently, we felt that we had been presenting more refreshing and upbeat songs. We wanted to show that we are still strong performers and that we can still pull off this kind of intense concept well, which is why we decided to make this change.

DMK – KPS: With ‘CRIME’, it felt like TRENDZ took a darker road. Now with ‘Kart Racer’, you seem to be back in a brighter lane—would you say ‘CRIME’ was a real turning point in your artistic direction, or more of a detour before hitting the gas again?

ra.L: “Crime” was a great opportunity for us to showcase TRENDZ’s powerful performance style, and we also felt that it helped deepen our musical identity, so I believe it was an important turning point in our musical direction.

On the other hand, “Kart Racer” was less about musical direction and more about the experience of working together—we collaborated with Eunil, and it was also the first time Yechan participated in choreographing. We focused more on enjoying the creative process. Since it was released right before Valentine’s Day, we hope it was also a nice gift for our FRIENDZ. In that sense, you could see it as a step in building momentum before accelerating TRENDZ’s musical growth.

DMK – KPS: For everyone in Switzerland discovering you today, could each of you describe yourselves in one sentence that truly captures your personality? And how would you sum up TRENDZ in just one sentence?

Havit: I’m honest with my emotions, but not very good at expressing them. I can be straightforward when I speak, yet I’m also warm and sensitive—a bit of a contradiction.

TRENDZ in one sentence: Colorful!

Leon: I’m quiet and I enjoy lying in bed.

TRENDZ in one sentence: A performance that devours the stage!

Yoonwoo: Contrary to my appearance, I’m kind and a bit clumsy.

TRENDZ in one sentence: Colorful! All seven members have completely different colors and charms.

Hankook: I am quick and agile.

TRENDZ in one sentence: The more you see us, the cuter we get.

ra.L: My personality: I’m very detail-oriented and sensitive.

TRENDZ in one sentence: Colorful.

Eunil: I’m sensitive and tend to overthink.

TRENDZ in one sentence: Your happiness.

Yechan: I’m very playful!

TRENDZ in one sentence: Full of lively, bouncy charm.

DMK – KPS: Lastly, a message for your Swiss FRIENDZ?

Yechan: FRIENDZ! TRENDZ is back in Switzerland. We’ve been waiting so much for this moment. We’ve returned with completely new stages, different from last year, so please come see us!

We missed you ♥
